This guide outlines our different business and integration arrangements. Understanding these structures will help you determine which category your organization falls under.

1. Connecting to Client Systems and Applications

In this arrangement, Intely facilitates the connection between your organization (the Intely client) and your client's systems. Connections are made to software managed by your clients.

Intely acts as an extension of your organization in this type of arrangement. We are the integration service and support for you and your clients. We are happy to assist with customer sales and project calls.

This generally involves three parties:

• Intely Client: Your organization.
• Client's Customers: Your product or service's customers.
• Intely: Intely's integration platform, services, and team.

HIPAA Compliance

• Intely acts as a subcontractor to the business associate of the covered entity.
• Your organization is the business associate, managing the client relationship.
• The client's customer is the covered entity, such as a healthcare provider.

Use Case Example: A healthcare IT company uses Intely to connect their software with various Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems used by their healthcare provider clients. Intely ensures secure data transfer and compliance with HIPAA as a subcontractor.

2. Connecting Software Systems and Applications Within Your Organization

In this arrangement, Intely assists your organization in connecting various software solutions within your own infrastructure. Connections are made to software managed by your organization.

In this type of arrangement, Intely augments resources in your organization. Practically, we are the integration service and support for you. We meet with your various teams and stakeholders internally to provide a solution.

This generally involves two parties:

• Intely Client: Your organization.
• Intely: Intely's integration platform, services, and team.

HIPAA Compliance

• Intely acts as a business associate to the covered entity.
• Your organization is the covered entity managing patient data (PII/PHI). This is common but not always applicable. PHI is not always involved in integration.

Use Case Example: A hospital uses Intely to integrate its patient management system with its billing software. This integration ensures that patient information is accurately reflected in billing processes, reducing errors and administrative burdens. Intely ensures compliance as a business associate.
